Update ...

Took your advise and changed the gauge out to a brand new digital one and I am still seeing 8lbs.

It will read 8lbs right at the time it is going to shift when I put my foot in to it. I just got my HP-Tuners in and I will be messing around with it today to see how things are set up. Anything I should look for right off hand?

P.S. this thing runs way better on E85. Must be the high octane

I guess my unit was built on a Wednesday by the builder since it's making this kind of boost. Lucky me
