Any updates?! I'm chomping at the bit to finish my 90mm setup, just saving my pennies to build the intake and I'll be ready for the change. I'm eagerly waiting to see how she feels!

AKlowriderz71, i'm surprised to hear you say how easy it is to remove/replace the j-tube with the blower still on. I did it a few years ago when i did my 90mm TB and J-tube conversion and damn it was a bitch, and will never do it again, it was a huge PITA for me.

Knocked the bolts loose with a 3/8 ratchet, then used a small 1/8 ratchet to remove the bolts. Then I used a gasket scraper & removed all the old sealer from the back of the blower. Checked it with my fingers to make sure it was clean & smooth, verified with an inspection mirror. Applied new anaerobic sealer to the j-tube, slid it into place & started all the bolts back in by finger. Tightened with the small 1/8 ratchet, then final torqued with the 3/8 ratchet. IIRC, a 3" extension made things nice & easy. Also pushed the heater hoses to the other side of the transmission dipstick tube so they were out of the way.

1/8" ratchet?!? Wow, that is small!

As Tim said, what kinda gains ya expect Roger?

What difference betw. a 90mm & a 92mm? And don't say 2mm!
As in, does 2mm make that big a difference?
And, tho slight, 2mm, it fits a 90mm tube, but do ya do any port match so to speak or just a plug n play?

Your truck is gettin faster a mod at a time. Very cool. You're turnin it into a beast.

Speakin of mods, what kinda **** is this?!?
I'm not on here as much lately, & now you're a Mod?!?

Haha, good catch Tom! 1/4" ratchet...... Oops!

I guess that's what happens when I type while I'm on my first cup of coffee.....

On the 92mm/90mm thing, it fit without any modifications. I'm not positive, but I believe FAST stopped making the 90's at some point, and switched to 92. I'd been watching for a deal on a used 90mm from FAST or NW for a while, when this one popped up on another forum, so I snagged it up to give it a try. I doubt that a 92mm is noticably better than a 90, but at least I have bragging rights.

If the weather plays nice, I'll hit the track this weekend to find out about any gains or losses.

As for the Moderator thing, I really don't know how the hell it happened! lol

I did a couple of datalog/tune adjustments today. Mostly normal driving out of boost, and a little bit of 1/2 throttle(5-6 psi) stuff. It's getting closer.

On the way home from work tonight I decided to stab it....

Shifted into 3rd gear at 60 mph, held it at 60 for a few seconds, then punched it. Lost traction and the truck fishtailed, left 2 black stripes on the highway. I was NOT expecting it at all, actually surprised the **** out of me. I just wanted to see where the AFR was. It's still to rich at WOT, so there's more on the table. I'm DEFINATELY happy with the results so far.

Previously, it would blow the tires off like this, up to about 45-ish, and would haze the tires up to about 50.

I only tried it one time.
