Just a little reality check. Remember when a/f ratio gauges were the coolest thing and the best tuning tool around. Then wideband came out and now narrowband is a waste of money. Point is...they still have a purpose and can due some good as far as trending and telling you when you have a problem.
And if you bought it for the light show then Bling Bling MO FO!

ok. In closed loop driving the narrow band 02 will oscillate, giving you a cool light show. At WOT the computer stops using the signal from the sensor but the sensor is still reading air/fuel. A narrow band is only good for lean/stoich/rich not much more. I have a narrow band and it saved my motors life when I was having nitrous issues. When you WOT (with or without nitrous) it should be in the same spot every time. If its not something is wrong. When I was having nitrous issues the gauge would dip down from is normal spot to the yellow then red THEN I heard audible detonation. As I trouble shot my nitrous problem I would watch the gauge. If it wasn't where is was supposed to be (first green lights) something wasn't right.

$35.oo gauge is a lot cheaper then a $3500.oo motor. Narrow bands are not useless. Remember, people tuned cars for about 70 years before 02 sensors.

LOL! Nah, I didn't get it for the light show. It's actually kind of annoying at night. I have a boost and Fuel press. gauge and thought this would be a good choice for the last hole in the pillar. I actually thought it would be useful with the blower. Maybe I will look into the wideband version. Any recommendations?

widband commander will fit in your pod and do everything you need it to. but for $200 you can buy an Innovate LS1 wideband that works with a laptop. You can set it up to send a 0-1v (narrowband) signal to your narrowband gauge and also use the wideband capability by viewing with a laptop. $350 you can get a handheld that will do the same. Or around $500 you can get the wideband commander. For around $500 you can get the LS1 from innovate and the XM1 gauge/processor, It is similar to the wideband commander. Do a little research to find the differences. I have the LS1 since I already have a laptop and seemed to be the best value.

Does everybody's do this? Maybe I'm still on the wrong wire. Does one wire do long term fuel trims and another short term?
They really arent worth anything unless you have the expensive "something" band sensor..... But it does fill a gauge spot!!!!!

Wideband commander is the best IMO has teh most features and has the best feedback check out the thread on the wideband gp on tech nothing but good reviews of it and saying how much better it is than their old wideband.

I agree with the annoying at night. I cut out a foam cover and it stays on the gauge most of the time. The gauges will tell you many things. Accurate A/F ratio is not one of them.

lol. Oh well. I wish I had known before I bought it. It doesn't have a 12v lighting wire either, so I can't dim it out I looked at wideband commander, $500 is a bit much for a gauge, an O2 sensor and a CD I won't use.

Isn't technology wonderfull $$$$
The narrowband has a purpose. Like I said before; It was the best damn thing since sliced bread not too long ago and before that all we had was our nose, ears, and ability to read plugs. But unleaded gas made reading plugs much more difficult. Reading the actual voltage on a narrow band is better than the bling bling gauge.

ok. Well then what do you guys have for gauges? I have a fuel pressure, boost, and I plan on doing the denali cluster for the trans temp. So what should I put into the hole that will soon be vacated by the A/F gauge? IS there an IAT temp gauge that is easy to hook up?
