I cringed a little when i read the OP post. Not saying a rear mount turbo system isn't bad but the ebay parts selection did a little. Yes, some ebay parts have done the job, but at what cost? a motor?. The only budget build turbo system I would attempt is a quality used kit and having a buddy who is good at welding or yourself fab up piping if possible to save labor cost. In the end, to do even that ebay setup correctly with all supporting mods, you will spend close to what you could get a decent used kit for + few hundred dollars maybe. Turbo systems are like a high class *****. They perform nice but are high maintenance. Good luck though with the build! I do know a couple guys with ebay turbos though and are still running after a year.

certain ebay parts are fine. those ebay gt45s are solid.
obviously implementation is important. the right people can start a fire in the middle of a swimming pool, but with some care during the install you can get a good reliable turbo for 1/3 the price of anything else.

I am planning on buying one of those oil filter adapters for the oil feed. does anyone have any suggests on which to buy or maybe a different way to pump oil to the turbo?

Lot easier to drill and tap the blockoff thing for a NPT to AN fitting.

nearly complete bed mount turbo budget

Here is a little update. I have purchased most of my turbo build parts. The parts that I still need to purchase are a map sensor, oil hard line, cold side charge piping, tuning software (most likely HPtuner pro), and a wideband 02 sensor. I will post pictures of the welded hot side and various other parts tonight.

I ended up finding a part already drilled with two 1/8 npt holes for 10 bucks on amazon and ended up purchasing that
