whatcha or wouldya think there would be a benefit to getting "lubed" methanol instead of straight methanol. Everybody seems worried (rightfully so) about pre-blower injection and I am getting ready to order me a drum of the stuff and I see they offer lubed now. Seems like a good idea...hell maybe help with some sealing properties (kinda like egr does/would).

I'm spraying 50/50 right through the rotors. I need to prove it to myself that it takes a long time to do any MINOR damage. Next year I will pull the blower and take it apart to see what actually happens. I am not concerned.

I will say that I did not get the gains I though I would though. I was only able to get a 3* bump before I started to see some KR. It did help out with my fueling though.

55 gallon drum...170 out the door!!

Yeh but 50/50 you really aren't unlocking the full potential of meth...IMO. I am really not to worried about the damage myself either. But with 100%, I am inclined to wonder. I beleive thunder just had his radix redone. He mentioned some loss of coating. Again, I am actually no to worried about it. I want what the turbo and centrigal guys can or should be enjoying in my opinion, 100% meth. With that said, I wonder what the lube does? I know what lube does, but what kind of effects on the internals of the radix would the lubricant introduce. I am sure the lube is really meant for dirt track guys, or more specifically 100% alcohol fuel motors.

Add as far as you only able to get 3*...what size pulley are you running. A 12.5 in an SS I'd imagine you are already some where near the 2.8 eh? If not, the meth would be more effective with more boost, not so much with more timing.

Some of the members here were positive that the loss of coating on my rotors was due to spraying meth through them until they found out that I had 85,000 miles on the blower, then it was a toss-up over whether it was from the meth or just normal wear. I personally have gone to running 100% water just for cooling, but I may go back to meth if I up the boost and shift points and start to run out of injector. I don't think I'm too worried about the wear either, especially since it sounded like the high mileage could have been part or all of the cause.

With all the posts about crankcase venting problems causing intake oiling, and how oil in the fuel/air charge reduces octane, I think it would be better to not use alcohol with oil in it.
