Default Another Turbo cam thread...

I've been reading up on old posts and researching on different forums.
I don't know what to think anymore... some guys run split cams, some run no split, some run reverse split. Then there's the lsa of all these cams. Some guys like the lingenfelter/LS9 cams with high lsa i.e. 118+ and others run stuff with a 110/112lsa.

Im just sort of lost on what to do at this point. I plan on boosting this truck sometime this year.
Setup:
ECSB LQ4/stock 317s, NNBS intake, 42lbrs, 224/228 .600ish lift on a 110+4lsa
80e stock converter and 3.42s

Im looking at going the T76 .96ar route with no more than 12lbs. Probably stay around 6-8 most of the time though.

I guess in the end, the cam choice depends on the setup mostly. What do you guys think?! give examples also.

Thanks

If you like how it runs n/a, boost will only make it better. Unless you think it's too soft on the bottom end, it's all good. If you're getting along with a stock converter, I'd swap in a 3000ish stall before changing the cam? Maybe not the ideal turbo cam for a heavy truck, but not totally wrong either. If you like the mannerisms of the cam, run it and see how you like it. It's bigger than I'd want to fool with, but I'm a puss when it comes to big cam issues

It could definitely use a stall. Im sure a 3000ish stall will be purchased in the future. I don't plan on shooting for 1320 times. Just something that will move out on the street. The cam now is actually pretty nice for this heavy truck. Im used to driving single cabs. Once it gets rolling it's not so bad.

You will definitely need 60lb injectors with a 6.0. I wouldn't go near that big on the bump stick, it doesn't take much cam at all to make big power with a turbo. I would recommendation the Isky triple 12 or if you are trying to get some lope out of it the Speed Inc TU1. I will say you would benefit alot more from a 3k stall and stock cam vs the cam on the stock converter IMO, that's the order I would do it in anyway. Gonna be a sweet build

I'd say its pretty hard to deny the results that stock48 is getting out of his straight small designs.
