Anybody slipping the belt on there centri setup????
It would appear that I am having belt slip, I can see dust on the blower pulley, also on the other pulleys.. This could pos be the reason I am only seeing 6-7 psi, on a 10 lb pulley... Also I am all ready running the smallest belt I can get on there.. I think I may have to go 8 rib... Just curious, let me know..

what size pulley are you running(in inches) and what size belt? you may try an upgraded magna charger tensioner. Thats what im doing as soon as i put the d1sc back on, the tensioner may be a cheaper alternative and if it doesnt outright solve the belt slip it will just help you when you upgrade to an 8rib setup.
pm leftcoast32 he will hook you up with all the adapters and everything

pm MFIC he can prolly help you figure out who to buy the eight rib setup through. I know the brand is ATI, thats who built his cog drive setup and i know they make an 8 rib setup, i'm just not sure if you have to go through a dealer or what
hope this helps,

if you go through a procharger dealer the upgrade to a d1 from the p1 will be about 1200 and the 8rib setup will be around that same price.
Jed
sorry posted this before i saw your reply mangled03gmc, i wouldnt upgrade the head unit unless you ever want to make more boost than you can push with the p1 because you will prolly end up having belt slip with the d1 also. that is if you had belt slip to begin with

Yeah I was running the 6 rib back then and running the smallest pulley I could which was a reichard racing 3.4. It kept throwing the belt off no matter how tight it was. I only saw 8lbs on my 370. I am running the innovators west system right now and hit 8lbs on a 408 with a F1C using a 4.5 pulley. Thats only going to around 5500 rpms. No slip at all.
