Anybody slipping the belt on there centri setup????

I had a problem with belt slip and throwing the belt as well. I run 15 psi with a 3" pulley on my Paxton 1500. To help from throwing the 7 rib belt, I fabbed up a bracket and used a screen door turnbuckle to keep the stock tensioner tight at all times. I added a through bolt through the tensioner pulley and attached one end of the turnbuckle to the through bolt and the other end to the fabbed up bracket. Then I just tighten the turnbuckle. As far as belt slip, you guy's can laugh if you want, but I put VHT on the rib side of the belt. I carry 2 spare VHT prepped belts with me when I go to the track plus the one on the truck. I prepped them and then store them in a Ziplock plastic bag. I can get around 10-12 passes before I see any loss in boost so I rotate them out after every 6 passes or so just to be safe. Don't apply VHT to the belt when it's on the truck. It makes a total mess in the engine compartment. This may sound like a backwoods fix, but it works for me.

Thanks for the info guys.. I think I am going to do what a fellow member here done in the past. I am going to move the pulleys around to get more of a bite on the pulley.. Then if that doesn't work, I am going to snag the tensioner from maggie...

Post up some pics on how you did it and what parts are needed. I've been wanting to do this too. I wonder if ati will trade our old brackets for the newer ones the have more belt wrap.

or they could have just done it right the first time vs. rushing them out.
