Curt, you should have seen Al after that run. I got to the end of the track and Al is pacing back and forth beside his truck. He said he thought his motor was trashed. He said he heard some strange sounds but stayed in it. Then he heard a loud clangging noise and thought he saw chunks of metal flying down the track behind him. I told him to pop his hood and he damn near had a cow when he saw the water pump pulley was gone. I wish I had a camera.

I thought you would have a can of whoop *** sauce Al. Looks like its time for a new helmet, that head has swelled up to the size of a watermelon. You find out anything on the s/c yet? Just wondering cause I have'nt seen a poll.

you know how it is...
I'm just glad there wasn't a video of my swole head like there was of Greg @ SDR...
keep in mind that the 12 sec timeslip head swelling is nothing compared to the head swelling if I run an 11.xx next time out!!!
as far as the s/c...I'm talking w/ ATI ProCharger...
Dave...thanks again for all the help Sunday!

I have been running a welded pulley after one exited the engine bay in the dyno room on us. All the big builds I am involved with now get the pulley tig welded to the shaft for safety.

Jerry's holding on to the video of that pass!
probably not a bad idea to tack it on the new pump...I'm still driving w/ the "hammer time" pump right now...but as David said...I'm sure beating the pulley back onto the shaft with a claw hammer wasn't good for it...
