Anyone running a blower and turbos? I see gt500 guys and terminator guys doing it just wondering if anyone has tried it on a lsx motor?

I have...
The first setup was a MP T76 feeding the Magnacharger TVS1900. That ended up being to restrictive of an exhaust side with the small 64.3mm P-trim turbine wheel so I swaped it out for a Borg Warner S475 with the 96mm 1.32 a/r T6 hot side. Was much better, but had a hard time keeping the boost down with it cuz the back pressure was so low for the boost, that it needed a ton of waste gate to get enough flow. I was tring to run 12-14 lbs of boost with the blower pulleyed to make 7 and the rest from the turbo. Would have worked better shooing for 18-20, lol.
You basically loose the best of each setup but get a good middle ground. You loose from the bottom end of the blower if it was by its self, and you loose from the top end of the turbo if it was by its self, but in the end, you get a broader curve and carry the torque higher then just the blower would by it's self. It was a fun project though. But a turbo by it's self will make a lot more power...

Kyle's project ^^ sparked my curiosity and I did one similar to it. It wasn't a compound though, it was sequential; the blower and turbo worked independently of each other. There was no problem with parasitic loss and it kept the best of both worlds. The blower ended up being too small for my goals, and the rear mount oil problems were getting annoying. Sold the blower to buy a kbracing front mount kit

I've read both those threads very interesting info. What oil problems did you have?
