Default Anyone using the 3.3 Whipple? Will it fit under a truck hood?

I am getting ready to do a build up on my 02 GMC Z71 and I a trying to decide which supercharger to go with. I am a firm believer in the performance advantages of turbos but I have been racing turbo cars since the late 80's and I am ready for a change. I plan to build a 408 and I want to go with a supercharger with a lot of grow room. I am considering a F1 Procharger or maybe a 2.8 KB or 3.3 Whipple. I have searched and found a good number of build-ups with KB and Prochargers(on LSx motors not all trucks) but I haven't been able to find much real world info the 3.3 Whipple so any comments or experience would be great. Thanks

Steve

umm... 2300 TVS FTMFW! From the numbers I have been seeing should blow the water out of any supercharger and even be stiff competition for the turbos.

Where would you find one? I went to Magnacharger's site I didn't see anything other than the standard Radix system.

They are just so new that there is not a lot of info out there yet, but they are becoming available and I wish I could afford one.

Here are some numbers on a Ford GT and there is some additional good info in the the thread that this was posted in about the TVS units. Also the new ZR1 has 2300 TVS sitting on top of its engine and it is promissing to put out some nice numbers.

Rightfully so the Ford did put down some nice #'s, however I am waiting for some GM #'s and track times before I consider it the God of all. The new vette is sweet, in fact I get a chubby looking at it... However I would like to know why GM went with the 2300? I thought the 1900 was able to support a 400+ CI engine since its been stated that its too much blower for a 6.0.. To me that means the 1900 should have no problem feeding a 6.2L in the vette. In some of the dyno charts I have seen the 122HH actually made a better power curve on a 402 then the TVS1900. As with the 112 and 122 to make higher boost levels a OD crank pulley will be needed. The TVS has really got my interests peaked however now all I can do is sit back and wait to see some results. Come on Bryan get that thing to the track...

I am not opposed to the TVS2300 but from what I have been able to find by searching is that there will be a kit available for a truck at some point but no one is sure exactly when. I will certainly look into if it is available when I am ready to buy but I would be hard pressed to wait for it unless there was proven to be soemthing significantly better than the other brand currently available.
