Anyone using the 3.3 Whipple? Will it fit under a truck hood?

The only thing about that is its been stated that the 2300 will not make the low end power of the smaller compressors, with that being said I find it hard to believe GM would go bigger then required as I imagine they were trying to make a very strong power curve. I just doubt they gave allot of room to grow as is.... But by all means I sure as hell hope you are right and GM was thinking about us gearheads that always want more..

I love turbo cars but after nearly 20 years of working with turbos I am just ready for a change. I don't have any doubt that I could make more power for my $ with a 408/turbo set up, but to be honest with you I am ready for a good crisp exhaust note from a non turbo engine. I love my GN but it is quiter than my DD company car! I have even considered a NA 12:1 454 LSX motor(with spray of course) just to have the awesome sound of it!

I called whipple a few weeks ago to inquire if they had anything for our trucks. I was told no. They again claimed to be working on something and told me to call back in 6 weeks. That's fine and all but they told me the same thing 2 years ago.
The offroad kit they have, or whatever it's called, is very tall. They didn't seem to think it would fit under a stock GMC hood. He said I'd probably have to get a cowl hood and have it modified.
I've been wanting the 3.3L for the past few years. I ended up going with the KB 2.8L. Results coming in a few weeks.
