havent seen too many of those...isnt it alum block? Thot about that route at first to save weight, but the truck block is so much stronger if u plan to do any over bore that I went LQ9. I'd say u might want more blower (look for an MP122HH or go TVS), and possibly more cubes...once u start down this road ur gonna want more power.

thanks DH, I see you have the heavy beast as well! I have the MP 112 RADIX and short block at home, also the cam (LPE GT series) and 317 heads, what is the best comp ratio to shoot for??? how much boost are you running?

buddy had a LS1 and a procharger and eventually a NV4500 in his 03 avalanche for a while.

right now it has a 408, paxton and a 4l80E

its been done, think the ls1 had some decent top end cam in it from what I remember, with stock heads.

Did one for a friend. Similar, 5.3 forged, 241 heads radix 12 psi boost. Got a used GT2-3 cam for a steal. Avalanche goes like hell! Put the transfer case in auto 4x4 and it lays 6 feet of rubber with the fronts. Very smooth idle and he drives it everywhere. Tows his ZR1 long distances with it too.

Didn't know that I had any pics of my vette on here. Yeah, got it really bad. Just got a 2010 camaro too. Anyway the compression ratio is right around 9.5 if I figured it right.

I'm only running 9.3:1 now and its too low - shud be closer to 10 and its costing me more than a few ponies. Boosting 9.3lbs (8 rib setup, 3.0 pulley...and I have a 2.9 in reserve) in current weather (50*) with the MP122HH, meth...etc. With my new BlackBear tune SOTP tells me I shud be well into the 500's RWHP. Now that she's running well, I've been working on handling.

was tryin 40, 2000 nassau blue FRC with 24k miles on the body ccw wheels, big money stereo, custom seats 2 year old paint etc. of course everyone wants something for nothing.. it hits a solid 800 at the wheels all day long with an ecs setup ......but its been pretty reliable as of late so I'm thinking I'm gonna keep it. Dumping it was the difference of a CTS V now or next summer/fall when the suburban is paid off....
