As for the exhaust, those stainless MIG welds look great Kyle! We experimented with MIG'ing SS at work, and they never really came out that good. Lots of clean up was required. But yours look great. We were using Argon, but now it makes me think we should've tried trimix before calling it quits. Nice work!

BTW, dual 3" will flow better than your single 4". A single 5" will out flow a dual 3.5" though.
Ya, I was amazed at how well that SS welded, super smooth, almost like TIG welding it, and almost no splatter. It welded easier then regular MIG on mild steel. The gas is not very cheap though... And I had a hookup

Yeah, we were getting a lot of spatter, and it was in an area where the customer would've really noticed. Clean up time with MIG vs. just TIG'ing it was worse.

I'll have to try it out for myself with some trimix. I bet the SS wire wasn't cheap either. What kind did you use?

I used .030, 308 SS solid wire. With my hook up, it was $6 a pound. Normally, I pay $2 a pound for reg mild steel .030 wire.

Clean up would have been super easy if I'd wanted to, just a quick hit with a wire wheel and the weld and area around it was shiny and smooth.

Throw a coat of nozzle sheild down around the area of the weld.Spatter wipes off no prob.Spray can not the paste.

Probably a dumb question but i noticed on these new TVS blowers that the TBody flange is a 4 bolt style. I thought all the throttle Tbodies were 3 bolt....or does the TVS come with its own proprietary Tbody?

I think you can get it set up for the smaller 3 bolt tb if I'm not mistaken, but if your 6 grand+ into a build, why not go big
