Backpressure and Intercooler Pressure Drop

Backpressure and Intercooler Pressure Drop
I am finally at the stage of my build where I am testing these two items. I ran the truck last night with a boost gauge plugged in the intake and then in the pipe before the intercooler. I found roughly 17.5 psi before and 13.5 in the intake. I am sure this is not ideal, but how bad or good is it? I have a 24x12x3 e-bay unit that looks the same as the one Foose04 posted pics of here.https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-477769/page3/
I noticed Atomic's numbers were much worse than mine and I dont really know why. Will post results of the backpressure test this evening. Comments welcome!

Im running a 4" core CX racing cooler and when I compare my map sensor pressure readings to what my boost gauge, which is referenced at the compressor housing, Im seeing about a 1 PSI dropped through the intercooler

Im sorry, that is wrong. My boost gauge is referenced at the manifold. IDK what I was thinking. I guess the gauge could be a little off. I need to hook it up at the compressor and see what the difference is
