Frame flex on pickups is pretty bad. More than you really think about. This is why fuel tanks are held in with straps typically, to cradle the tank. With your tank mounts being rigid, and made out of aluminum, I would expect them to tear off the tank over a longer time period if driven on the street.
Here's a pic of extreme frame flex in an off-road situation(stolen from Google images). Obviously you will not be doing anything like this in your truck, but if you daily drive it, you are gonna have some flex in the frame.

i gotta welder man if ya wanna add some support some time, just get some metal! lol we can do like mine and it might help a bit although the pipe i used is pretty thin so i might end up wadding it up! need something extra this for your truck being awd

I was thinking something more like an inch thick and soft like silicone. On both sides of the flange and under the frame, three per mount. My 2500 frame flexes enough that I can't close the tail gate if one wheel is on a short curb.
