Default Belt alignment, help!!!

I havr a pulley boys pulley and yesterday my belt broke. I put a spare one on and when looking at it the maggie pulley needs to come out. How do i do this? Also i will be upgrading the tensioner to the magnacharger one and to 100mm pulleys. As far as the 100mm pulleys i was thnking of reichard racing, but have read the i uave to shim those also. Anyways need advice on changing all of this out and aligning everything up. Pics and part# would help.

I've been going thru all this. Call Joe @ Leftcoast32...he's the expert. I've always used Innovators pulleys. As for the blower pulley alignement, put some washers on the back to move it outboard, or change/shave all the others. Before spending all kinds of cash on 6 ribs, go to 8ribs instead if u plan to keep a small blower pulley and upgrade to O/D crank, it'll cut back on belt slip. U have any belt dust now? Is your tensioner @ 3oclock or 90* with belt on?

Is your crankshaft pulley pinned and bolt still torqued to spec?

As for shimming the maggie pulley, any alternator shop or = will have many size shims on hand for cheap. Just measure what size you need and they will have it or make one fast enough.

Well i just ordered the HD tensioner from magnacharger ($115,pretty cheap). Tomorrow i will call left coast and order the 100mm pulleys. Yes my crack is pinned. You can see the belt is not aligned on one of the idlers and the alt. pulley was getting polished.

I'm wondering if your pulley is on backwards, or has been installed incorrectly(pressed too far on, or not far enough...).

Any chance you could post a couple of pics?

The pulley from pulley boys comes with a hex head to grab it with a wrench. So the is no way to put it backwards.

Make sure that the new pulley is the same offset as the original from MagnaCharger.

I have seen it done before...

You have the "nut" facing the front of the truck, right?
