Default Big Block Remote Turbo...Which Engine Oil??

Going to do an oil change and this will probably be the first oil that goes thru the turbo. What oil should I use?? I have always been a fan of Castroil and I like the heavier oil in the Big Block, like 10w-40. Will that be OK?? And what grade, Regular, Synthetic, Syn Blend, and whats the new Castoil Edge, other that EXPENCIVE???

10W40 would be fine... I like Synthetic for turbo apps because it survives higher temps much better than dyno oil does. I run Mobil1 10W30... and it works well for me.

OK, good deal. Would regular oil be SAFE to use in a turbo application?? I don't plan on using it at all, but just in case.

I was a mobil 1 synthetic user until my friend who builds racing (don't laugh) lawnmowers, was switching oils to try to find one that wouldn't break down and boil in his engine since they run very high temperatures (air cooled per the rules),the only oil that didn't break down was castrol, and not the synthetic, regular castrol,I was amazed......and have since switched to castrol in my rides! since a turbo is going to have very high temps, you might want to try out some castrol....Now That's Using Your Dipstick Jimmy!!!!
