Default Blow by again????????

Ok as most know I swapped out the 5.3 due to oil blowing out my dip stick. Conclusion #7 piston broken ringlands Now I have a newer 04 Lq4 that is leaking oil past the o-ring on the dip stick Ive been stressing like crazy that I have the same problem again. Did a compression check and found all cylinders to be fine @ 120 psi, what is normal for these???? I have a catch can venting both valve covers, pcv deleted, plugged off the TB. what gives???? could my rings be warn????? I think the motor may have sat for a while maybe it will get better over some time

Any suggestions

Also we did a break stall to build some boost with the dip stick out to see how much was comming out. When you would let off a really small squirt would come out. Its not blowing out my dip stick , just oil getting past the o-ring. I doubled the o-ring with 2 little ones and seems to have stopped the oil from comming out. Im all out of ideas

I think a Leak-down-test is better for checking out messed up rings..

i thought it was suppose to be at 180psi.. Jaegmc99 did a compression test on his 5.3 with about 170k miles on it a month or so ago and i think his were at 180psi and everyone said it was normal. Could be wrong tho...Hopefully you get it straightened it out.

If you did the compression test on a cold motor, it will indicate lower than on a warm or hot engine.
