My Combination Motorsports kit cam with a Turbonetics Raptor. I think it is rated to 500hp but I'm not sure. It isn't vey loud, which is a plus for me.

Cool

I have the STS BOV. It is a 38mm TiAL AFAIK. It is definately a TiAL BOV. It comes with a new powder coated intake pipe with a mount already welded on and has an 11# spring in it. It is a nice piece and installs just before the MAF. I would consider it while you are looking. it will only open when you back out of it at WOT and your vacuum goes below -11# on deceleration. If you can hear it over the turbo screech you will be lucky.

So your turbo still flutters despite having a BOV?

Mine does. , I think the people who have ran with and with-out said it helped the waste gate flutter (or sprinkler sound) but I'm not sure, I just know mine does with the STS tail BOV, But I like the sound of it (ALL)

Are you sure that sound is the WG and not the compressor wheel? I'm going to be going with STS's BOV and I'm having second thoughts after hearing this. I NEED a BOV that works, as I'm putting in a T56 next week.

Cool

vanillagorilla, I still get the compressor surge when I back out of it but I thought it was doing something. Because of that I am not sure if it is working properly or not. The boost gauge shows I am getting -11.xx# so it should be opening but I have no way to actually test it. It gets its vacuum signal from the same line as the boost gauge so it should be working. I could not connect mine to the brake booster line because I have the hydro assisted brakes.

Have fun with the T56.

I just used a cheap Bocsh bypass valve off a Volvo. It's only 1 inch, but it took me from 6-7 woop woops to 1 or 2 and a woosshhh (almost needs 2 of them). It cost me a buck from ebay and filter off the valve cover of my old stock car, but it works

Hmmm, sounds like a good alternative for the budget. Thanks for the info.
I know a couple of cool ricer guys and one told me he could get the same thing your talking about for free. He's got a buddy with a salvage yard.

I am using a Greddy nock-off from Ebay type RS style. I think it is a 38mm bov and I dont get the sprinkler sound any more.
