Default Blower cam for my 427

I have had recommendations all over the map. Even cams with 80* of overlap. But I think that is more from guys who work with centrifugals and only look at peak power.

I think we are getting closer with this one though. Any thoughts?

228/236, 635ish lift on 1.8 rockers, 114 + 4* advance
(4* of overlap)

Truck will be in the low 6000 lb range when done. Stall will stay at 2600 but through an 80E. ETP LS7 heads.

Patrick_G on tech will spec one out for you. He works in conjuction with Thunder Racing. It costs $25. For my KB 2.8L 408 with ET245 combo he suggested 226/238 .609/.607 115LSA+3

1.8 rockers? you already have them in? I've been looking at the LPE GT11 for a high lift blower cam.

LS1-GT11 215 / 231 .631" / .644" 1.7 ratio 118

Extensive engine dyno testing at Lingenfelter has produced some of the best street camshaft profiles available for the LS1, LS6 & LS2 engines. The Lingenfelter "GT" series camshafts were designed to produce excellent power while still producing a smooth idle for automatic or six speed manual transmission equipped vehicles that can be daily driven.

This camshaft was designed to be used in LS1, LS6, LS2 350 CID - 427 CID applications. Spring & retainer upgrades are a must with this camshaft. This cam can be installed in stock LS1 engines with no changes to pistons if you install it straight up. It is not suggested to advance or retard this cam with stock pistons.

I have a new cam waiting for an install. It's a custom ground 228.8/234.1 .560"/.540" 116 LSA installed at 112 icl. Would have liked to gone with a .620" lift, but these new Hemi's don't offer anything as far as aftermarket rockers are concerened. Stock rockers are 1.65.

Apparently, as I am told that the heads are are assembled. This is the first I heard of the 1.8's. I will be following up on that this week.

The one thing you have yet to talk about is operating range. All the cams you have shown will take you to about 6800 and up, but I dont think you need that. There are a few tricks to bringing down the RPM range in those cams and making this a more TQ happy setup.
