blower strips?
#19
Back in my serious drag racing days, we used to run the 1471 blower on the variation of the big block chevy/Olds/Pontiac engines in NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster. They were a high helix design, and had nylatron strips. Used to have to re/strip after almost run, if you wanted to make good power. Everybody had a tool that you put in a vise to hold the rotors to do the job. Man.....I used to cut the **** out of my fingers doing the job between rounds. The grooves are machined perfectly square, and the nylatron had the be drawn thru the grooves to get it in. Brings back memories!! By the way, we were spinning them around 125% over, the motor was singing about 10,500 going thru the traps. I don't know what the actual boost was, that wasa before all the high tech data loggers.
