What's considered "safe" with arp head bolts?

The combo is a 408 with ls3 heads and around 10.3ish compression. Pump 93 with 10 and 18 meth jets.

I think you would be fine with ARP bolts, they won't stretch the way the TTY bolts do. Should hold at least 10-15PSI.

I think its more about your tune up than anything.

Im wanting 18-20. Too much? No point in having a 3.6 blower and not letting it breathe.

Im thinking dominator efi or having it dyno tuned with something safe. It currently has a 2010+ camaro ecm so the no ve table thing is weird.

i think 25 would require a custom pulley. A 3" is supposedly 20# on a 7.0. Would that boost be higher on a 408?

The VE won't be too difficult to tune since I'm assuming it doesnt have VVT. The later revisions of HPT have a coefficient to VE generator built into the editor now. You still running a maf? As for the bolts I think 20psi is pushing it. I couldn't say for sure though since I've only run the bolts once and swapped them out for studs before leaning on it.

Many forget, I had arp bolts in my last motor. saw 23 psi from a d1sc and did not push. However, don't let that fool you. Several months before that, I pushed coolant on 14 psi bad enough that there was a puddle of water on the trailer under the motor and a water stain trail down the side of the block. See if I can find a pic..........
