I think the F1R will be the ticket for you, a roots blower is going to have too much tq down low well you know what happens with that.

I like my turbo setup so far, I'm running a 408 at 9.4:1 compression, Wiseco 16cc dish pistons and WCCH stage 2 317 heads. 220/222-580/580-114+1 cam, Precision turbo PT76GTS. Bought the kit off TurboGibbs back in Feb of this year. I can build about 2-3 psi crusing along at 2100 RPM in 4th gear. If I floor it from a stop it won't break traction and I get a little delay to build up boost, but if I brake stall it up I can roast the tires all the way through 1st and most of 2nd. I cut a 1.88 60' time with my old 235/239 on 113lsa cam and ran a best of 12.74 @ 106 with 33" tires, 4L80E, and 3.73 gears out back. That was on 8 psi. Driveability is great, my mileage hasn't suffered really (except when I have a lead foot), and there's barely a hint of lope with this cam.

I think the MP122HH (Holty's) will be great for a 408, as long as you have the right cam, and gearing

As long as you dont want a crazy amount of boost. I personally disagree, If I was doing a SC 408 I would want something with allot of potential for High boost, and IMO the only thing that would do so is a big cent. blower. Being a 408, low end shouldnt be a problem especially with a SCSB so I would go for something with allot of top end potential ( Cent or Turbo) being your exhaust setup I would lean twards Cent. unless you get someone to buy your exhaust. As stated this is all in my opinion, I am not knocking anyones setup.

yea my exhaust isnt something most PTmembers couldnt use and alot wont consider the price. for me to go boost i want minumal of 750rwhp no meth/no n20. now im not rulling out meth or n20 but i want 750rwhp daily or i might just end up with a higher compression 408 and larger cam and shoot for close to 600rwhp NA

Most well thought out 408/F1R combos on tech are netting the numbers you want and on race gas knocking on 900rwhps door. Only thing that sucks is you will have to make custom bracket, even though you are running fbody accesories, I dont think the procharger bracket will clear the truck frame since the F1 is mounted down low.

yeah but a custom bracket near where the truck mounted blower is, or you could look into the vortech ysi blower. it can make some big power also. if that doesent work there are some new vortechs that are making insane numbers.

but one thing no matter which route you choose for that much power wont be cheap. but man you have to give it up to parish over 1k hp to the wheels. with parish's motor and blacksheeps suspension you would have one hell of a fast truck.
