Bosch 044 install
Well i finally got a lil spare time to piddle with the new Bosch 044 fuel pump.. its just a wee bit bigger than the Walbro 255..
Trimmed the springs and that plate thing off, fuel pump is tight enough it doesnt need the spring pressure..
Finally found out that i need a 12mmx1.5 fitting so i can connect a -6 hose barb to and connect it to the top. So im gonna order that up and finish the thread with pictures.

So you gona cut the legs??? Also if your going to run that same style sock I would def machine or cut a slight groove in the collar that the sock slips over it and put a snap ring on it, other wise the tension of it riding on the bottom of the tank will cause it to ride up that collar, suck shut. Thats was my huge fuel issue after the install..

na, the legs are goin to stay the way they are.
its a sock that threads into the bottom of the pump.. you can see the bottom of it in the pic.. im goin to attempt to put the sock in the bottom of the bucket or cut the bottom and let it sit on the bottom of the tank..
last time i was in there i put a Fuel level sending unit in and the bottom of the tank was spotless, couldnt see any trash or anything in there, so that makes me feel really good.

Hmm hard to see how it is actually held on there, can you pull that bitch off with your hand, or slide it up/down on the collar. reason I am being such a retard about it is it is a pita if it is the same set up as mine was.. Cause it will without a doubt suck shut, even with that lil vented area in that sock
