Don't know how you would do this on your KB setup though.

I did the same w/ my procharger after the bypass tube popped out of the inlet elbow and the exhaust burned a hole in it. I aslo turned the bypass valve 180* so it vents at the fan shroud. It quieted things down significantly.

Im going to shut the bypass valve for a trial run to understand characteristics of the blower to size a BOV. Looks like a bit of trial and error.
