Building revs/boost while stopped????
I have read threads about foot braking to build boost and launching. My problem is it seems to have NO power when my foot is on the brake. I cannot build any boost and It will not even build RPMs. As soon as I let off the gas and roll a few feet the power comes on. Is there something in the PCM that is pulling timing or something to limit power until Im moving?
I would like to go to a bigger stall but I tow heavy a lot. Doeas anyone know of a good happy medium between towing and stall? I have a 4L80E with a deep pan and a larger cooler so I think I can keep my temps in check.

You hit it right on, the TC is your limitation.
You should look into the dual/triple lockup designs, they would be a good compromise for your application. Downside is the cost, probably 2 times that of a "normal" TC.

You only need the 3 or 5 clutch torque converters if you actually lock the TCC at WOT, other wise its a waste of money. If you dont lock at WOT, a single clutch performaqnce TC will be just fine.
