UPDATE: I submitted a cam request to Cam Motion, so I'll keep you all posted. This will be interesting to say the least. They probably think I'm totally crazy by looking at the spec sheet. A turbo 4.8 in a 5000lb truck. Loser.

I doubt they'll think you're crazy....more like, they'll see your case as interesting, and a challenge. Cam Motion is a player behind some of the strongest running LS1's out there.

Yeah, they'll get a kick out of it I'm sure. I even mentioned running 317 heads and upping the boost to 15psi or so.

You'll find you can rev higher with the FI applications. The truck will just keep pulling up. I was shifting at 6200 or so rpms on the stock 6.0 cam and now am shifting at 6300 or so with a Thunder CheaTR. I could run higher if I didn't mind spinning everything up so high.

Don't forget, I've run 14's N/A biatch. I could always run you in my car, I'd only give you a 4sec head start. JK.

did you find shifting the stock cam at 6200 advantageous over say a 5600rpm shift?

Cam Motion was a pleasure to deal with, I would have bought one of their Cams if I didn't get such a good deal on my Comp Cams

RECOMMENDATION
Grind Number X2201-2161-15+3
Duration (intake/exaust) 223/218
Lift (intake/exaust) .576/.564
Lobe Center Separation 115
Intake Centerline 112

There's the recommendation. Looks like an interesting grind. Not a bad price they quoted me either. I'm very interested it what more they'd have to say about this.
