Default Cam for Radix

Just bought a radix for my 05 chevy 5.3. Now I want to know if any of you know which is the best recomended cam for this set up. I would like to keep everything else on my signature except for the cam.

LPE GT2-3 is the tried and true cam at this point for the Radix.

You want to minimize overlap with a Radix, so the less the better. My Cam Motion 205/212 had minus 17 degrees or something like that...I'm sure the GT2-3 is similar. The guys with more experience will chime in, but from what I understand, the greater the split between intake and exhaust duration, together with wide LSA, will lessen the overlap.

The GT2-3 is an extreme example at 13 degrees of split (207/220) and a super-wide LSA (118.5), so that is definitely a safe choice, but there are others you can use. Most guys go with 6 degrees or so of split and a 114 or so LSA, but you have to work up the numbers with a cam person to find out for sure.

With your 2800 stall you might be able to go 218/224 or similar on a 114-116 LSA and get what you want. As a general rule you want to avoid single-pattern cams and narrow (i.e. 110-112) LSAs.

Check Lingenfelter's web site for the cam specs.

Here is a link to my dyno graph:

Agreed, awesome cam. Trucks pulls really hard up top. Gained 4mph in the 1/4 with this cam.

I paid $400.00 with valve springs shipped.
