Checking for boost leaks
Any tips out there for testing for boost leaks? My plan is to put a PCV cap into the charge piping where the compressor outlet is (or before the turbo inlet), and hook it to an air compressor with a needle valve to control the flow. Then I would need to pull a rocker or two so there are no open intake valves. This should let me test for leaks in the cold piping, intercooler, BOV, MAF sensor, throttle body, intake manifold, injector o-rings, EVAP and MAP ports, and the various vacuum lines to the BOV, boost controller, brake booster, and fuel pressure regulator. I don't think I'll be pressurizing it past 15psi.
Does this sound like it will work? Any other tips?

Check this out. Seems easy to build if you don't have one yet.

I always pressurize mine where the filter goes. Don't worry about the valves leaking. It takes about 60psi on my leak down gauge to get 20psi built up in the charge pipe. Its better if you pressurize the whole thing so can check vacuum lines and any ports you may have blocked off on the intake. Those little rubber caps dry rought and blow off my truck all the time.
