Does the cold weather have an effect on Superchargers? do they freeze up or anything like that?

they will be getting a denser air charge and will therefore produce more boost and COULD make too much boost if youre runnin on the edge and blow your motor, worst case scenario

i dont think so, there's nothing liquid inside it that could freeze, i highly doubt it

what kind of blower is it

Superchargers love cold temps,you just need to make sure you have proper fueling to accomodate the additional power the denser charge of cold air generates.

I run a Paxton Novi 1500. Paxton does not recommend running there units in the winter unless you install an engine oil heater due to thick oil viscosity associated with cold weather. I switched to Amsoil. Problem solved.

if it is intercooled the water might freeze if you don't have anitfreeze in it.

Mines runs like a champ. only problem is that the coolant temp is only 150F when warmed up. I try not to go into boost unless it is at least 165-170F. Kinda hard when boost comes on at 18% throttle. Ive driven 3 winters with no problems.

No problems with mine and its been -25 with the wind chill for a few weeks now. Go for it!!
