yeah it was cracked a little but was going to reinforce that, im not trying to make somthing thats going to be permant just enough to see what the truck would do, then if i like it ill go out and get a good one

If you just want it for mock-up and testing you can try welding it. Welding cast iron is difficult though. If the exhaust turbine casting can be separated from everything else you might have a shot. Clean the crack with a high-speed wire wheel until there is no rust remaining. Use an acetylene torch with a cool flame to slowly heat up both pieces clamped together. Add more and more heat until both pieces are glowing. At that point start welding. Let it sit and cool down slowly. This will be strong enough to do some mock-up and testing but not enough to trust. As soon as it heat cycles it will probably crack where the weld meets the cast.

thanks, thats what i needed to know, yeah it separates so the turbine will be fine, i know i asked my auto teacher and he said to cut angles that go inward on the peices so that you can weld the center of the metal then work your way out making it strong enough to use(aka hes done this on his race car) so ill try it, mix the both sorta or somthing

Rajay Turbocharger, thats all i can read, it came off an old army style streight 6 diesel water pump, huge i might add as i could fit like two legs in the pipe
