Id love to see the ol 4.8 give way from to much power, if the truck is 4500lbs going down the track then it's making 831rwhp if it trapped 131mph. IM willing to bet you could add another 200hp to the engine without it poping. The wear on the bearings from consistent beatings might get it before the power, the 5.3 should make alot more with good flowing heads.
Can't wait to so how the bw does, give me a good idea what mine has left in it.

I got a pretty snazzy looking snail picked out. Going to call the company tomorrow and if it checks out ill post up some shots of it tomorrow.

Jake I been keeping an eye on my oil changes and so far so good on the drain plug magnet. Not saying I don't have some good wear though, I couldt even being to count how many pulls or passes this truck has.

As for weight, Carolina Dragway scales, 4550 with me in it and all this tow stuff back on the truck. The tow stuff was there on the 10.3 pass as well.

Hey Foose and everybody else. I know you have the new cam in and the LS6 worked super well, but did you ever consider the LS3 cam?

How do you guys think the LS3 cam would compare to the LS6? They seem pretty close.

You are using the 201/211 cam right? Not the 204/218?

Thanks

Im pretty sure the 02 ls6 cam he was is the 204/218. I think the ls3 cam would work good as well.

In for results on the new turbo!

Just got off the phone with Lebbet over are Boost Lab in Florida. After talking everything over, i'm going try something different and go with their BL375r.

The skinny on it is it's a BW s475 at heart but with their billet 11 blade compressor and race cover. It's rated at 1150HP/115LB (close to 480 flow) but the compressor weighs less the the standard 475 cast wheel. The turbine side is the BW 83 wheel with a 1.10 a/r t4 housing. The design is new and my opinion looks to be a pulled from the new garret GTX wheel. (They made no comment on that question, just that it was their own design. )

I went with the polished housing because it's shinny and I like shinny things.
Said to be shipped by Friday, so I hope to have it by next week.

Should run pretty damn strong on 4.8L and still work great on the 328 engine later as well. I think with this hot side & 4" exhaust, she should roll out!

Getting excited!

Here's a few teaser shots.
