i started making the truck 2wd and got sidetracked. didn't steal any parts yet but we might borrow a few for another project.
the motor is stock other than cam and springs.
we just got the rear narrowed. used a sawzall and cut 1.25" off each side then welded it back together. the moser axles we had were splined enough we were able to just cut them down. the tires we have been running are 26x8.5 but now we have a set of 28x10.5 on the way so it should do much better. we had a bag but got rid of that and went with a rear anti roll bar. we have some decently stiff springs in it in the rear. front is prety much stock. pinion angle is -3deg. intersect angle is 48" at 12" high wich is prety close to where people sugest we aim for. i bet we get some consistant high 1.3x 60' times with the tires.... i hope... there will be vid if we get some good wheel pulling action.

I'm just wondering if there is a secret ratio to timing versus boost. The best ratio may not nearly be the horsepower King... but may be the longevity King. I am running 9psi... 10 on an 85F morning. Zero detonation. If detonation "never" occurs... can one excercise 15-18psi of boost yet never exceed cylinder pressures that destroy pistons and lift heads? Certainly if Jim is running stock head bolts and not lifting the heads... that certainly says alot

car is still running strong. went to the track a few more times. ran a best 1/8th of 6.31@111 with it cranked up and not even all that great of a 60' i think this car will go 9.70's on a good day. then we put some drag radials on there, pump gas, drove it to and from the track and ran a 6.92@100 with only 7psi. i think this car will go 10.70's or so on pump gas. we pluged up the fuel filter but other than that no issues to report.
