Here is an unbiased test of a ported blower and other bolt on components on an 03/04 cobra. Steigemeier was recently thrown off of the site as a sponsor because of his business practices.

I was assuming that this mod was one of those harmless ones, that made you feel like you are getting an improvement because of the amount of money you spent. You know, like those fancy multi-ground spark plugs, or that fuel catalyst thing. Things that people get away with selling because although it can't be proved that they actually work, they don't cause any harm. That might be the case with the horsepower, but there is no way you could convince yourself that it pulls harder with that kind of torque loss, no matter how much you spent.

I think there's a little something to be gained though with the smothing of the elbow that he does. Maybe 3-5fwhp.

this post has turned very interesting. I guess we should of never touched the blower, but we did it for next to nothing so if it is slower than thats his truck, not mine. It seemed better, but whoe knows, it was only 40 degrees outside, so its really hard to tell until it gets warmer.
