I think Thegreat4.8 means that the valve in the wastegate was leaking and he has it running into the exhaust instead of opened air. And due to the valve leaking, it could not achieve full boost. Maybe??

has nothing to do with being a supercharger guy , I just do not trust that Chinese garbage off of ebay when it comes to my turbo or supercharger system.

Cheap waste gate, or 4000.00 engine....hmmmmmm

I have seen a couple hang open and cause low boost issues. Also seen them tear diaphragms and cause overboost issues. You do not see these issues with Tial or Turbosmart though. This is just solely based on what I have actually seen, not read on the interwebs.

This was a common issue I read about from my DSM days. When your 16 and on a $7.00 hour job, just "getting it to just work" is one thing. Bottom line though, it's not one of those parts a turbo built to cut a corner on. I'd rather china the BOV before the waste gate.

Seller name was Wyntonm
My Trick kit cam with a WyntonM gate, that i'm pretty sure is a 38mm. Either the gate is messed up or i'm maxing it out, because in 3rd gear boost will creep up from 7 to 11.5 psi.

I'm thinking Rick wouldn't put ebay parts in his kits if they weren't any good...
