Mine going to the wastegate was busted like that. I had a solid piece welded in its place. When it was broken I couldnt make more than 16psi no matter what I did, after it was as much boost as I wanted.

Surprise surprise I'm having problems with my eboost.

With the Sn at 0 I get around 9.5 psi. At 20 I get 10.5. At 40 I get 11.5.

When I turned it up to 50 boost went up to 13 and the engine started cutting in and out. There's no obvious abnormality on the log. Is .032" gap on the BR7EF plugs the likely culprit?

Also, it doesn't seem I'm gaining much boost with the eboost at all. From Sn of 0 to 50 I only gained 3 psi. And I have it setup with the 2 port method for "maximum boost your setup can produce." I'm starting to wonder how much boost this 475/83 1.0 T4 will actually make on this setup.

That turbo should make more boost than you know what to do with.

What spring is in there? Set it up using the "high backpressure" method.

It's the spring that comes with the JGS 50mm....makes 7 psi on spring with manifold reference.

Also, Stock48 is running the same turbo (except 1.25 a/r versus my 1.0 a/r on turbine housing) and he says it just starts pumping hot air past 16 psi. I'm wondering if I'll start seeing larger boost gains from the 50-100 Sn range. I haven't figured out yet if the settings yield linear increases in boost.

Also, I'm going to pull the plugs and close the gap down when I get a chance.

According to the manual you should leave Sn at 20 or close to it. Adjust SP to get the desired boost then play with GP and Sn. I left Sn at 20 and it's been working great, but I'm using the 1-port method which gives me 4psi at SP=0 and 10.8psi at SP=55 (haven't gone higher yet) with the light JGS 50mm spring.

I should have said SP, sorry. GP is set to 6.0 and Sn is at 20.

Nope. Same problems on the dyno today.

On the street when i turn it up the truck is cutting in and out at 12-13 psi. I think the plug gap of .032" is too big.

If the motor is cutting out I don't think that is a boost controller issue. 0.032 may be too big, 0.028 seems pretty common.

Im not saying those issues are related.

Just trying to figure out why 0 and 40 yield basically the same boost. I may try the "high backpressure" hookup.
