Mine on the spring runs 10.4psi on the spring only. I'm working with a tech at
Turbosmart trying to remedy the problems.

With nothing hooked to the wastegate it does 10psi.
With the eboost street hooked up as follows
port 1 atmosphere
port 2 bottom port of the wastegate
port 3 pressure source
top port of wastegate atmosphere
SP 0
GP 0
SN 20
OBS 30
With this setup it does 6 psi. Eboost Street tech says this is not possible but it does it. They have no idea what the deal is. They recommended hooking it up like this. Any ideas? If no one knows I'm putting it up for sale and putting the manual one back on.

I think you need to change the wastegate spring. With nothing to the gate giving 10 psi that is the maximum boost you can get with the 1 port hookup. 2 port should get you more but how much is the question. I think the eboost was designed with 4 cyl's in mind not big v8s, hence why you cant get the "5-40 psi" range they claim in the manual.

With nothing connected you see 10psi. Both ports no hoses on gate.

If you apply psi to the bottom port of the gate you will see less boost.
Bottom port is closest to the stainless body.
If you apply psi to the top port of the gate you will increase you boost.
Top port is farthest away from stainless body.

If I change the spring I won't be able to get a low boost setting. I too think it was made for 4cyls.

It should not matter 4cyl or v8.
It's just applying psi or removing psi from the gate.

Old school.
We would set up a manual air valve with 2 cheap air regulators.
1) reg boost
2) hi boost
Push the valve down would be hi boost setting.

Could it be a bad batch of controllers were sent out ?

The only useful function on mine is the gate pressure...after that its pretty useless except for a boost gauge and to turn on my second fuel pump.
