Old school.
We would set up a manual air valve with 2 cheap air regulators.
1) reg boost
2) hi boost
Push the valve down would be hi boost setting.

Could it be a bad batch of controllers were sent out ?
Turbosmart maintains that you can't do a boost level lower then what the
Gate will do on the spring with this controller!
They maintain its something wrong with my setup!

Can you recommend a boost controller that'll work for me?

[QUOTE=Atomic;5130961]The only useful function on mine is the gate pressure...after that its pretty useless except for a boost gauge and to turn on my second fuel pump.[/QUOTE

Very True!

Hmm. Most mfg's will
Blame the other guy. It's always their fault. LoL

Ok with any gate that has a lower and upper port there are 3
Points of boost control.

Spring + lower port = back psi + boost psi assisting opening gate against spring psi.

Spring only + no ports = back psi opening gate against spring psi

Spring + upper port = back psi opening gate against spring psi + boost assisting keeping it closed.

The companies that I have seen. Use the spring plus bottom port to give a boost setting starting point. Loose the bottom hose boost goes up since you loose you assist.

Several of my customers are using the AEM set up for their controller.
Seem to like them. I did not know the eboost was not working for guys.
We are looking at adding the Turbosmart stuff to out line up.

My 01 GMC, if I go spring and bottom port reference only I see 11.4psi (JGS 60mm gate with biggest spring available). Using the EBoost Street with settings of SP1 (10-30) GP1 (4-12) and SN1 (20) I will see right at 12psi with bottom port referenced only. If I change the GP setting it will boost spike then immediately drop down to say 12-13psi. On my High boost setting (19.5lbs) I use SP1 of 74, GP1 of 20, and SN of 20. I always see 19-20psi with a bottom port only method.

Scooter, maybe switch to the 4 port method like Jake is running? My setup is a PT88 on a 5.3 so I don't have close to the backpressure issues that you and some of the others deal with. I bought another EBoost street for my twin turbo Vette, I just haven't got it running yet.

Can you explain the advantage of having a four port solenoid?

im going to bump this thread instead of starting a new one.

im 99% done with the install of my eboost2. all except the pressure source.
my old tc78 had a port for the pressure source.
but now i have a s475. do i need to drill and tap my compressor housing to get the pressure source? or where are you guys using as that reference. id prefer if i dont have to drill and tap my housing.
i did the 2 port method as shown
