EGR/IAT mod
I've had a few people ask me some questions about my IAT set-up, so here is a short write-up.
First some other threads about IAT sensor relocation......
rosscob's thread
Jerry2500's thread where I got most of my info
foxyss'sthread
First things you will need.
Sensor Part number
MSD 2320 (includes connector)
Other sensors that will work can be found in the "jerry2500" posted above.
EGR plate for intake
PN 12558346
You will also need to block off the exhaust if you are getting rid of the EGR system.
All you need to do is drill a hole a bit smaller than the sensor. Thread the sensor into the hole using silicon of some types to help seal the sensor and not let it back out. Keep in mind there will only be a very thin piece of sheet metal for the threads to grab, so don't over torque it.
Next you will need to wire in the pigtail. Cut the black and tan wires going to the maf. Be sure to leave enough for you to reconnect them if you ever what to return to stock. Then attach the wires to the sensor pigtail. Be sure to make a good connection as the PCM will read the resistance to ground differently and iat readings will be skewed.
Then to get the pig tail to fit you will need to trim the top section of the pigtail lock.
Then install the plug and Retune!!!. The IAT sensor will read Very very cold once it is soaked in meth, this can help or hurt a tune, be sure to watch your timing and KR!! I also used the IAT timing adder table to be able to run more timing ONLY when the IAT sensor see cold air. Of course you will need to change this table as the seasons change throughout the year......

Looks very cool. That's one well thought out mod. Good post.
I'm confused with your timing thing though, you said you only add timing when the IAT see's cold air. Who in their right mind would add timing when the IAT reads hot?
