Default Expectations of STS 6.0L

Alright gang, I had my STS kit installed last week and I would just like to hear some input of what to expect from this kit. I have an 06 Denali XL with AWD 6.0L. I upgraded to GT67, #44 injectors, and Nelson Tune. The tune was set for these options and tuned for up to 10lbs of boost. The only thing that was not installed is a PLX Device data logger instead of boost gauge. So as of now I have no gauge telling me anything. My first impression after driving all weekend is not much difference then stock besides making a cool blow off sound. When accelerating on the beltway up big hills @ a moderate pedal throttle it doesn't gradually push me back in my seat as I thought it would. Keep in mind I'm a newbie to this whole FI thing, but have been in a handfull of turboed cars, trucks. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is, with the amount of weight this truck is will I be able to screw with late model muscle cars with what I have installed?

Sounds to me there are other issues here. You need a boost gauge operating with a reference off your intake manifold, not the snail of the turbo.
If you get it off the snail it will not be giving you an idea of how much boost is actually getting to the engine. You may have boost at the turbo but leakage at multiple places along the charge pipe.
I know your truck is a big heavy monster compared to others here, but you should definetly be feeling more than a slightly better acceleration than stock.
Check your silicone connections, especially the one holding the MAF in place, mine blew off twice when I first installed it, I did not want to overtighten it and crack my MAF.
Let us know your results!

Something doesen't sound right, a 6l with 10 lbs should really ripe. yell, my 4.8 with 10 lbs really halls butt. You need a boost gauge, its sounds like your not building any boost. It should set you back and be well over the speed limit before you know it. You need to get it checked out man.

Something is not right. I know the turbo will need a moment or 2 to spool up but, you should feel MUCH stronger than stock.
I have 6L/Radix @ 7psi 4.10 gears and a 210/218 551 cam. When I punch it things that were on my center console, including the sticky mat that is supposed to keep them in place, are all in my back seat My Tahoe is just a tad lighter than your XL so...I think you would notice 10psi.

I think you have leak or valve sticking open

I will check all the connections and get the plx installed sometime this week. I have the electronic boost controller that came with the kit located back by the oil pump. It has a + and - dial on it and push to lock. Do you think its just set on low right now? It's hard to tell since they didn't have time to do the gauge install.
