alright guy's im wanting to move my heater core lines from running right over my turbo and am looking to see what other people are using to do this? i had a friend who got some plastic adapter that is used for plumbing and they ended melting somehow so i wanna see what other people are doing for this situation.

any help is appreciated!

I plan on doin mine tomorrow.

Goin to put a 90* soon as the hose clears the firewall. Go to the passenger side fender and route it around back to the water pump.

are you just using all new lines? or cutting and attaching with an adapter?

You think having them that long with affect how effective the heater is? Probably not, but was just curious. I was thinking of doing the same thing.

well i broke the lil dinky plastic adapters that were on the factory heater core hard lines at the fire wall. Just slipped some hose over the metal tubing and clamped it.

Then ran all new lines.

years ago i used my heater core to chill the water in my W/A setup so i didnt have my heater hoses hooked up all summer.


I dont see a problem at all with the longer lines. possibly 3' longer max?

i dont see a problem with them either, i think 3' ft would definitely be max.

By fender do you mean plastic wheel well, or actually out to the quarter panel? Any pics? I was thinking of the latter.

Mine are run over the coil packs...seems cleaner that way.

I ran mine over to the passenger fender like nonnie was talking about and routed it back to the water pump and it worked great. My brother has the truck now and it is still the same way. It has been like that for years no problems.
