Few ? about N02 + boost
Here is my goal and i was just wondering if this would be safe? Heres my set up. 2003 silverado ss with a detroit speedwork front mount turbo kit a built tranny and TQ. My stock LQ9 went last summer due to bad tuning. So i had my motor rebuilt. my engine builded has never built an LS motor until mine so in the end i ended up with a LQ4. With my old set up on a crappy tune the truck went 13.57 not bad but i would like to get a 12.90 with the new motor. but what i was wondering is would it be ok to run a 65 wet shot with out getting it retuned. My qoal is just to run the nitrous for one day at the track to get it to 12.90s. my plan with the nitrous is to run a separate fuel tank with a 116 octane. I have a really fat tune as it is. in full boost my A/F is 10.8 i know its fat but id rather be safe. i really want high 12s for now until the wife gets out of school and then i can rebuild. the truck is not my DD. Any info would help thanks guy and at this point im only runing 7psi. you might think the truck is slow now but remember im all the way up in montana the track is at 3800 feet kinda high.

I know i dont really need a standalone fuel setup with a 65 shot. but i dont really want to get it retuned just to run one day with the nitrous. so i was hoping to do the standalone so i wouldnt have to retune. but im new to nitrous for the ls motors so im not for sure? i know the biggest part is timing. but i figured that a 116 octane would help for the wet part of the nitrous?

STart with a 35 or 50 shot and watch your air fuel. With a wet kit you are adding fuel with the nitrous so you should not need a retune. Just spray after the maf. A single nozzle system is the easiest to set up. If you notice you are rich or lean you can tweek your fuel or nitrous pills to off set this issue. As long as your fuel pump can keep up. REmember just start small and work your way up. 35 shot you probably will not feel but it will help on et.
Another thing you can do is get a progressive controller and ramp the nitrous back wards, and use it to just help things get going.

Make your first run spraying only fuel no nitrous. Watch your fuel gauge to make sure it can keep up. If it's good add the nitrous the next run. I wouldn't think you would need a seprate fuel system and should be easier to set up. And like TrickPerformanceProducts said, keep an eye on the wideband and use the fuel pills to make adjustments.

Im running a 50 shot on 5# boost..
i went a 13.2@104 on 5#
and a 12.5@111 on 5# and 50 shot... it felt good! and the air/fuel was 11.2, right where its suppose to be.

Apples and oranges...you've got a 5.3 with a supercharger and he's running a 6.0 (LQ4) with a turbo. On top of that you've got the weight difference. It would be significantly different.
