I have the cts-v h/e and have it in front of the 40k cooler. The h/e mounts in front of the supports and the 40k mounts on the front of the radiator, which is mounted on the back of the supports, giving me the width of the support (about 2") to sandwich the trans cooler in. I hope that makes some sort of sense. I can post up pics if you want, I will have to do that after work though.

Ya, TX, I'd like to see your pics on that. I guess the Silvys mount a bit different.
Doesn't mounting the 40K that close to rad. expose it to a lot hotter temps due to closer proximity to rad.?

fastnblu, check out Frozen Boost and their h/e's. They have one that is 3.5" thick (I think the supplied is 3/4") and if I had known that, would have pounced on that one at $180 instead of the cts-v one at $330.

Probably, but I didn't have much room to work with at all unless I wanted to mount it behind the air dam and put fans on it. My line of thought was that the 40k cooler was overkill anyways, so if it ran a bit warmer than normal, it would hopefully still be a huge improvement over stock. And it is pretty much exactly where the stock trans cooler was mounted.

Who did u score a CTS-V HX from for $330? I checked on FrozenBoost, but for some reason, have dragged my feet on callin them. I really should call to get the scoop. I'd like to know if it's just a cheap China knockoff. I figure the V HX is made here. Never know tho. I've been concentrating on getting parts for cam swap & crank pinning prior to Radix install. \

I hear ya. I'm spooked about mounting behind bumper & possibly havin **** fly up & damage / put a hole in it. Ya, I centered my 40K best I could when I replaced the stocker.

Here is the support that I used to mount the h/e in front of and the trans cooler on:

Trans cooler mounted:

Bumper removed for h/e mounting:

Bracket fabbed by Tootall out of 1" square stock from Home Depot to mount the bottom of the h/e far out enough to clear the trans cooler:
