i have a 4in mbrp diesel muffler and it sounds great under boost, not too loud at idle.

Go listen to some Corsa sound clips. Both Touring & Sport! They might even have clips of their DB mufflers. Exh. is subjective, what sounds too quiet/ loud, might be perfect for the next guy.

I've got a Hooker Maximum Flow that's pretty similar to the Magnaflows - straight through, with high-temp packing around the perforated tube. I used a 3" in 3" out, 26" overall length aluminized that I purchased at a steal for $37.50. It's got a deep sound and is loud at certain rpm frequencies (approx 1700-2000 rpm in my application). Idle sounds nice but it quiets down on the highway over 70 mph. They make a shorter (14" I believe) length that would be louder yet. I'm toying with adding a resonator on my system because it can get a little annoying at 62-68 mph and I spend quite a bit of time at those speeds during my evening commute.

I have the new corsa db black muffler, but it's only offered in 2.25 and 2.5" options, I have the 2.5 , it is a straight through muffler and sounds really great for a fraction of the cost for a full corsa system. That 2.5" ID might be too small for a FI application.

I don't think Corsa has any sound clips of the DB. Got any sound clips?
Ya, it's cheaper cause u don't get all the s/s piping. Too bad 2 1/2" is limit. Why did I think 3"? If they offered this back when I got my system, it mighta made the decision a lil tougher.
