Default Finally Found An AWD Dyno - What Do You Think?

Hopefully this doesn't come across as bragging but I feel like a proud father and wanted to share.

Its been 5 long years, 3 motors, 2 Transmissions with 5 rebuilds, 5 Tuners and what seems like 100's of challenges/setbacks but I am finally enjoying drive this thing everyday.

It has been a painful and $$$ journey but it now puts a smile on my face with every turn of the key and especially when I am running down Vettes, SRT8's and even a GTR in a 6550lb SUV.

I haven't made it to the track yet but if the G-Tech Meter has any indication of what it should do it consistently shows 0 - 60 time's around 3.8s and the 1/8th mile was 6.76s.

Few Clips and one of the Dyno sheets.

Looks and sounds good. I suspect your gtech is off though, that 1/8m time is a bit fast for that power and weight. How much boost you pushing?

I recall seeing a lot of your issues, that awesome you can finally enjoy it.

Fukin NASTY.

Pat, G-techs are actually pretty accurate. If you remember back in the day, Parish used to do a lot of testing with his Gtech and it was remarkably close to his actual track numbers. I agree that the numbers seem very quick for a vehicle of that weight, but a 408 with a 2.9 could be making around 1000 rwhp.

Thanks Pat and I agree that seems awfully fast, it converts to like 10.7 in the 1/4 and I find that highly unlikely. I have the GTECH setup for the correct weight, the highest drive train loss setting and wind resistance set to half way which shows between a car and a freight truck.

I know I don't have actual numbers from a run but when looking at a scan from the point just before the speedometer comes off of 0 to the moment after it hits 60 was something like 3.52s and to 100 was like 9.7s if I remember correctly.

I need to get it to the track before the next setback. I don't feel comfortable passing 100mph on the street @ WOT. I am shifting into 3rd at about 95 and it just keeps pulling like I was taking off the line.

I will do 120 plus in my sports car anytime because it just feels right but when in the truck I feel like something this big should not be going this fast. The truck will run circles around my Porsche.

I am at 12.5lb's now and with the new setup its pulling harder then when I was running close to 18lbs.

Hey I hope it does run that, i have a gtech (somewhere) so I am familiar with them. Any idea what the 1/8 mph is?

What transfer case are you running? Some type of limit strap in the front will really help your launch.

Its the factory BW 4481 that I updated with some parts from the newer BW 4485 which gave me the 32 spline input shaft and sprockets and chain that are a 1/4 inch thicker than the 4481.

Limit straps are definitely on the to do list there have just been too many other things that have been a priority.
