We have tried to push the limit on the return style, but there was no way to maintain fuel pressure. I could get 70psi at idle, but under sustained boost, it would continue to drop. I think the biggest reason is the bottle neck at the top of the sending unit. It looks like its only 3 or 4mm I.D. We made this set up and made it return.
As far as at the intake, we feed the rear of the rails with -6 on each side; come out the front to a boost referenced fpr and then return to the back.

If you want to push it to the limit then you need a seperate holder tank.
Have the stock intank push fuel into a 1 gallong cell. The cell has an overflow line back to the main tank.
Then on the 1 gallon cell you have inline pumps feeding the rails with the return going back to the 1 gallon tank. This way you will never run out of fuel, even on hard launches and 3 gaollons in the main tank.
Parish has a decent setup but he had to run alot of gas in the tank which in my eye's makes it useless. Remember 100hp was made on a dyno, not the street where real load comes into play.
8altings truck is an awesome setup. He can run down to 2 gallons and never have a problem. The pumps are as quiet as stock and each one handles 750rwhp easilly.Only downfall is the cell for some people.Thats why I say a holding tank.

It all depends on your budget because fuel systems can cost quite a bit. Myself, I'm on a tight budget, my fuel setup is as basic as they come. I'm running two Walbros in the tank and 60lb/hr injectors. Thats all. Is it ideal? No it isnt but it works for me. One day I would like to change to something better though.

Quik if your interested in doing the holding tank setup like slowhawk suggested talk to Bill as he has been researching that kind of setup for awhile now and has some pretty cool links for you to look at with pics and whatnot.
