Also, if you are among the few who have done this mod on an 01-02 ETC truck (blue/red PCM), you are guaranteed 100% throttle opening with the LS2 TB!

Here's a couple of shots of my 91 Z28 with LS2 stroker and Radix, using the 02 PCM:

Ahh....yes the LS2 SSR does use the same computer as the GTO. So on a stock LS2 SSR the TB doesn't open all of the way?? That's interesting.

That is why HP Tuner is looking into a new table to fix the problem. The LS2 SSR uses a different TB that is only 85mm and opens to 100%. I converted to the C6/GTO TB and only get about 90-95% throttle blade opening.

In the the tuning software the TPS% on the SSR reads at 83% to get 100% ETC% while the C6/GTO TPS% reads 88% to get 100% ETC%.

are the hptuners guys really looking into this? if so, is there a thread on it already over there?

i still can't explain the differences in my tranny shifting after bolting on this mod. both me and zippy ran into this on atleast two different trucks. i would really like to see some sort of solution on this.

Thanks to John at Speartech for looking into this and posting up. Between you and Richard, we're getting spoiled...

BTW I saw Chris' reply to my question about HPT and editing the ETC tables. I was not talking about the pedal response tables, but rather the ETC MAX POSITION table in EFI Commercial. This table edits "Maximum throttle position that can be commanded."

I have the commerical version of EFI and will play around with this and a 90mm tb when I get a few moments (currently replacing tranny, converting to 2WD, likely changing rear end, etc. etc.... )

I am wondering how this combo is able to sort out the out of range WOT TPS signals generated by the LS2 TB. I can't see this happening without some change in the tune unless some kind of TP learning is involved. What vehicle is your calibration based on?

Are the PCMs the exact same part # (i.e they contain the same TAC chip)?

The only difference is the OS, I have installed the GTO computer in an SSR by just doing a full write.
