I know for sure that I am going to add an alkycontrol kit so I should be able to run high boost level safely. So I guess my rational is that if I am going to be running high boost and my over all goals are over the top horse power, then maybe I should go ahead and do the upgrade and get it over with because eventually it will come to this anyhow. (makes sense in my head)
But the other side of the story is, I could spend the same money now on a smaller pulley, heads and cam. I going to end up doing all these mods eventually, so I guess its just a matter of which path I take to get to the same place.
The guy I used to install the procharger kit said it would be about $1500 for the cam install. That would include the springs, rods, and cam. Wish I knew how to do it and had the necessary tools and garage. Anybody know of anyone that could do it cheaper in or around VA. However, I could to the head unit swap myself and would be cheaper. Wow I am rambling, but now you guys see where I am coming from.

I did the upgrade p1 to d1 when the 370 went in so it's not a fair comparison but I can tell you the d1 is def louder, it moves more air and the blower whine is louder.......which sounds nasty! I think in your case you might be better off with a cam change, it will net you more HP. However if you might go bigger cubes, 6.0, 370, CNC heads, etc. down the road then do the d1...........

I just wanted to see what other peoples experiences were with the two blowers. Thanks.
