good pistons&rods kit to rebuild 5.3-5.7L ?
hey i just finish installing my 2006 silverado 5.3L. turbo and tuning at 11.6psi and dam its a beast but i also mest up my motor i think i mest up the piston rings theirs compresion coming out of my breather from the valve cover alot so i wanted to bore it out to a 5.7 so what brand of pistons and rods are good for my engine and also the piston rings for a force induction forged engine ? or should i just buy a 6.0L. engine which would be beter the 5.3 to 5.7 forged or a 6.0L ?

West Coast Cylinder Heads
Rex works with Richard... the owner.
I just finished installing my for 4L80E. After my fundage recovers I have an LS6 that I'll have Rex work his magic on. It will only receive rods and pistons... like what you will probably go with. Rex has an excellant reputation here as an engine builder. And Richard's heads are the best to go on top of Rex's shortblocks.

We've built a number of 5.7l conversions with forged pistons and aftermarket rods. They run awesome and live under pretty extreme conditions as I'm sure some of the members on the board will attest.
Feel free to call us at (818) 705-5454.

We use Probe pistons. They run $475.00 per set. For the ring kits we use Ackerly & Childs ring sets. For extreme blown applications we use the Hellfire rings. We have the rings sets assembled for our particular needs.
Block prep is also very important to proper ring seal.
